LYRIQ Music School - A Music School for Performers, Musicians, and Musical People

LYRIQ Music School is conveniently located at 1906 W Irving Park Rd off of the Brown Line Irving Park stop. LYRIQ is equipped with seven rooms for individual lessons and one larger recital room. We have seven Kawai upright pianos and one beautiful baby grand Kawai in our recital space. Our pianos are superbly maintained so you always sound your best!

Our teachers are highly qualified academically and also masters of their instruments. We strive to hire the best and then support their growth as teachers through professional development.
The Curriculum
No two musicians are alike and neither are their goals. At your first lesson the student and teacher set attainable goals and revisit them regularly. Your lessons are tailored to your individual goals. LYRIQ Music School strongly believes consistent teaching of Theory Fundamentals is paramount to a musical success, which is why our students use the Theory Time Workbook series. 
$35 per half hour
$50 per 45 minutes
$65 per hour

School Schedule/Calendar

Our school is divided into semesters and three Summer sessions.
Summer Semester (June 3 - August 25th)
Summer 1: June 3 - June 30
Summer 2: July 1 - July 28 (*closed 7/4)
Summer 3: July 29 - Aug 25
Fall Semester (14* lessons)
September 5th - December 15th
No lessons November 22-24 (Thanksgiving)
Makeup lessons: December 16th - December 22nd
*15 lessons if lesson on Tuesdays

Southport Avenue Water Main construction now lasting until the end of June, 2017

It was originally supposed to be completed in early May, but now, water main and road pavement construction on Southport between Belmont and Addison will last until the the end of June.  Full details from Tom Tunney's website can be found here, (and don't get your car stuck in the cement as seen below).
